Breast Cancer Self Check

For women starting as early as in there 20s, you should get to know how your breasts look and feel. Doing a self-exam is very important for all women of all ages. Start early and keep on it. Women can look and see if there are any changes in there breasts or they can also choose to do this on a schedule. Don't be afraid to check them once a day if you feel that you need to do that, that often. For me, I try to do the self exam at least once a week. Its probably good to do it at least once a week if not more then. Stay on top of it and be consistent.

For those of you that do the breast self-exam, please make sure that you run it by your doctor and make sure that your doing it right. You can find the steps to do it online and in books that can show you step by step of how and what to do.
If your not comfortable in doing the breast self exam, then please make sure that any changes you feel or see in your breasts, that you call a health care professional and tell them what is going on. Don't delay in reporting any changes to your doctor. Its better to let them know something then to put it off and not tell them about something that might be serious.

If you choose to let your doctor do the exam or choose to do it yourself, just know that its important to get it done and often so that if there is a chance that you might have cancer, the earlier its found the better. Take care of yourself and make sure that you let your other female family and friends know that its important for them to do the check or go to a doctor for one and often.
